This Privacy Policy explains how NET STUDIO LLC (“we”) handles personal information in connection with worldcup2030guide.com, published as World Cup 2030 Guide (the “Site”), and the rights you have over that information.
World Cup 2030 Guide is a free editorial archive of the men’s World Cup. Every page can be read without an account, and the Site has no comment section, no contact form and no newsletter. We therefore handle very little personal information: the technical data every website receives, audience measurement data if you accept it, and the messages you choose to send us.
1. Who is responsible for your information
The data controller (under the European General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and the business responsible for personal information (under California law) is:
- NET STUDIO LLC
- 1501 South Greeley Hwy, Ste C #1386, Cheyenne, WY 82007, United States
- Email: contact@smartflowfutures.net
- Telephone: +1 307 316 0827
The editorial director of the Site is Chriss R., who can be reached at the same address.
2. What we collect
2.1 Technical data and server logs
When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider and our content delivery network receive your IP address, the date and time of the request, the address of the page requested, the page you came from and your browser’s user agent. If you use the site search, the words you type become part of the address of the results page and are recorded in the same way. These logs are generated automatically and are used for security, to prevent abuse and to diagnose technical problems. We do not use them to identify readers.
2.2 Audience measurement (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4, through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to measure in aggregate which pages are read and how visitors reach the Site. When it runs, Google Analytics sets cookies and records the pages viewed, the type of device and browser, the referring site and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Google Analytics cookies are placed only if you accept statistics cookies in the cookie banner. Until you accept, or if you refuse, no analytics cookie is placed on your device; through Google’s consent mode, Google may still receive a signal that a page was viewed, without any cookie or identifier stored on your device. Our Google Analytics property is not linked to any Google advertising account, and we do not use its data for advertising.
2.3 Messages you send us
If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever your message contains. We use them only to answer you and, when you report an error, to correct the page.
2.4 Cookies
The cookies the Site uses, and how to control them, are described in the Cookie Policy.
3. Why we process your information, and on what legal basis
| Data | Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Server and delivery network logs, including IP addresses | Deliver pages, keep the Site secure, diagnose problems | Our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)) |
| Google Analytics cookies and data | Measure, in aggregate, how the Site is used | Your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) |
| The cookie that stores your consent choice | Remember your choice so the banner is not shown on every page | Our legal obligation to be able to show that consent was given (Article 6(1)(c)) |
| Messages you send us | Answer you and correct errors you report | Our legitimate interest in answering correspondence (Article 6(1)(f)) |
4. We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. As of the date of this policy, the Site carries no advertising network, no affiliate tracking and no social media pixel. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
5. Who processes information for us
- Hosting. o2switch SAS, in France, hosts the Site’s files and database and keeps the server logs described above, as our processor.
- Content delivery. QUIC.cloud, operated by LiteSpeed Technologies Inc., delivers the Site’s pages from servers close to you and protects it against abuse. It processes IP addresses and request data for that purpose.
- Audience measurement. Google processes Google Analytics data on our behalf, under Google’s data processing terms; analytics cookies are placed only after your consent.
- Email. Messages you send us are stored by the provider that hosts our mailbox.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example in answer to a valid request from a competent authority, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
6. Where your information is stored
The Site is hosted in France, in the European Union. NET STUDIO LLC is established in the United States and administers the Site from outside the European Union, and Google may process analytics data in the United States. Where information protected by the GDPR is accessed or transferred outside the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards of Chapter V of the GDPR, in particular the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or, for recipients certified under it, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
7. How long we keep it
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for security and diagnosis, then rotated and deleted automatically, within months rather than years.
- Delivery network logs: kept by QUIC.cloud for the period set by its own policy.
- Google Analytics data: kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, which does not exceed 14 months.
- Your consent choice: 12 months, after which the banner asks you again.
- Messages: up to three years after our last exchange, then deleted.
8. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- have it erased, in the cases provided by law;
- restrict its processing in certain situations;
- receive the information you gave us in a portable format (portability);
- object to processing based on our legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your situation;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before, by changing your choice in the cookie banner;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority: the one where you live, or the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL) in France, where the Site is hosted.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@smartflowfutures.net. We answer within one month; for complex requests this may be extended by two further months, and we will tell you if it is. We may ask for information that lets us confirm the request comes from you.
9. Your rights as a California resident
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to have it deleted or corrected, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of, and we do not collect sensitive personal information.
In the terms of that law, the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (IP address, and email address if you write to us), internet activity information (pages viewed, and analytics data if you consent) and the content of messages you send us. We collect it from you or from your device, for the purposes described in section 3. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months.
To exercise these rights, write to contact@smartflowfutures.net or call +1 307 316 0827. You may use an authorized agent; we will then ask for proof of the authorization.
10. Security
The whole Site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to its administration is restricted, and its software is kept up to date. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is a general-audience football archive. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
12. Links to other websites
Pages link to sources such as FIFA, Wikipedia, the RSSSF and Wikimedia Commons. Once you follow such a link, you are on a website we do not control, and its own privacy policy applies.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the way the Site works or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so on the Site and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before it takes effect.
